Marika is responsible for packaging procurement in Unilever’s Procurement organisation. In addition, she is the business partner to Unilever’s North and Latin American clusters business leadership in all procurement related activities.

Packaging procurement includes paper and board, flexibles, bottles, metal and glass and assemblies. The team focuses on supply stratgies, negotiations, supplier relationship management and innovation sourcing.

Prior to this role, Marika was responsible for Indirects Procurement. Indirects Procurement includes buying activities for commodities such as IT, HR, professional pervices, marketing, logistics and capital equipment.

Marika has a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Technology in Lappeenranta, Finland (1994) and a PhD in Supply Chain management from the University of Technology in Helsinki (2003), Finland. Marika also has an MBA from the University of Dallas.
